Converted from flintlock, with Spanish russet two-stage sighted barrels each turned at the girdle and with silver spider fore-sight, octagonal breeches each with gold-inlaid ‘P. Steva pun zones’ beneath three gold lined flower marks, border engraved tangs, border engraved rounded locks, drum and nipple conversions, decorated with foliage, moulded figured full stocks (one butt chipped around the pommel to one side) each carved with foliage behind the barrel tang, mounts cast and chased with foliage and scrollwork and comprising pierced side-plates each involving a monster-head, spurred faceted pommels decorated with pairs of C-scrolls and foliage around a grotesque mask, faceted trigger-guards each with foliate finial and a portrait medallion between foliage on the bow, faceted baluster ramrod-pipes and horn tipped ramrods.
