Offered for Sale is this Model 1894 Repeating Rifle, which was Winchester's first lever action made for smokeless powder cartridges, and is the most successful centerfire rifle the company ever produced ...designed for the company by John Browning. It was manufactured from 1894 to post 1975, numbering at least 3 million.
This particular example has a # 327665, and is in 32.40WCF Caliber ... and comes with an original Letter/Certificate from the Winchester Repeating Firearms Archives, confirming the basic specifications, that this serial number was applied on December 1st 1906, then sent to the warehouse on December 14, 1906, and shipped out August 31, 1907

It was manufactured from 1894 to post 1975, numbering at least 3 million.
This particular example has a # 327665, and is in 32.40WCF Caliber … and comes with an original Letter/Certificate from the Winchester Repeating Firearms Archives, confirming the basic specifications, that this serial number was applied on December 1st 1906, then sent to the warehouse on December 14, 1906, and shipped out August 31, 1907
It has a standard length Octagonal barrel, of 26 inches with a full length tubular magazine, with a clear, full Winchester address to the top, a rear buckhorn sight, with the post 1905 thumb adjuster, and 2 Winchester proof marks, and a blade foresight. It has a plain trigger
The barrel, and receiver have a very high % of thinning blued finish, in excellent smooth, unblemished, condition . …with very little wear.
The rifled bore is of a very high grade.
The 2 piece, oil stained walnut stock, is to a fine, grained patina, with only very minor dings of age and use
In the obsolete calibre of 32.40. In o/a vg condition, with a strong underlever action.
