Description
Made C 1865 -1873, in 36 cal percussion, with a subsequent production in 38 Rimfire. This example, with a # 5616 [ of 25000 total production].
With a 3-1/2″ 0ctagonal barrel, clearly stamped with the full Remington adderss/patents. The rifled bore is vg. The frame has been altered from the original percussion, to accept the 2 piece factory cylinder. All metal work retains a high % of original blueing, with some thinning to the frame and cylinder, with the highest % retained to the barrel and underlever. There is a brass trigger guard.
The original 2 piece walnut grip is in a fine grained, varnished, and virtually unblemished condition.

After leaving my home town of Leicester, I went to University, and qualified as a Dental Surgeon at Guys Hospital in 1961 .
