Description

A German Halberd, Late 16th – Early 17th Century. With very long central spike of diamond section, crescentic axe-blade with decorated rear edges and pierced with small trefoils and a saltire of slipped circles, the rear fluke en suite, an open socket extending to a pair of long straps on a wooden haft, of octagonal section with carved edges.
