Description

This is a very fine example of this 6 shot 41 calibre revolver, which was produced in parallel with the Colt Lightning [ 38 Colt].
This example has had little or no use, and is of the highest quality, and by far, the best example that I have ever seen.
With a standard 4-1/2\" round barrel, and a 6 shot cylinder. It has a Double and Single Action, which is tight and sound.
It retains virtually all it\'s high polish Colt Blue finish to barrel, ejector rod housing, cylinder, and trigger guard.
There is very slight fading to the grip strap.
There is brilliant colour case hardening to the frame.
The rifled bore is shiny, and no sign of wear.
All address/patent markings are excellent throughout.
The sn # 112178..c1899, is clearly stamped to all required parts, and are all matching.
It has checkered hard rubber grips, with oval rampant Colt embossed motif …in excellent condition.
To complete this superb revolver, there is an original Colt letter, showing all the details of specifications, and of the day it was sent out of the Colt factory … please see a copy of this letter in the attached photos.
A chance to acquire a fine Colt cartridge revolver that is of an obsolete calibre.

GB Millais Antiques

I have dealt in Antique Arms and Armour for about 35 years, and my interest began as a school boy during the 2nd WW.
After leaving my home town of Leicester, I went to University, and qualified as a Dental Surgeon at Guys Hospital in 1961 .
My main interests are British and North American Arms of the 18th, 19th,and early 20th Century, plus a few Continental items.
It was 14 years ago that I retired from Dentistry. However, I have continued running my Antiques business, initially while still in practice, and now make most of my sales online, but still exhibit at a number of specialized Antique Arms and Militaria Fairs eg .. Bisley, Bristol, and also at the IACF Fairs, at Ardingly, Sussex.
I also deal in Period Scientific Instruments, mainly of a military association, and have a full listing on www.fleaglass.com.
