Description

Offered for sale is this nice quality example of the Smith & Wesson No 1-1/2 First Issue, revolver, a.k.a “Old Model 1-1/2″ RF Revolver. These were manufactured 1865 – 68. In 32 caliber Rim Fire, 5 shot, with a non fluted cylinder. There is a standard 3-1/2” Octagonal barrel, clearly inscribed to the top rib: “Smith & Wesson. Springfield Mass. Pat.d. Apr 3. July 5.1859 & Nov 21 1865”.
The serial number 21864 C 1864 of 26300 manufactured.
Retaining a high % of it’s Nickel Plated finish, with only very minor speckling. The original 2 piece square ended Rosewood grips, are of high quality, with only very minor dings, The action is sound, and the hinged barrel swings upwards for loading. The clearly rifled bore is clean,with only very minor stain, and very slight wear.
